Justin Has welcomed news that the Govenment has delivered on our manifesto pledge to recruit 20,00 extra police officers. Since the recruitment drive was launched in 2019, the 43 police forces across England and Wales have seen an additional 20,951 police officers recruited – beating the original pledge by nearly 1,000. From today over eight million families on means-tested benefits will receive the first of three Cost of Living Payments. In North Swindon an extra 530 people in work over the last 12 months, with unemployment down to just 2.9%, one of the lowest in the country.
